TTML Guide
Create a TTML file for Spicy Lyrics by preparing accurate lyrics, timing each word, adding credits, and testing the finished file locally.
New TTML maker role applications (tickets) are closed until further notice. Upload locally instead.
Creating your first TTML? Start with accurate whole-word timing. Syllable splitting is optional and can be learned after you are comfortable with the basic workflow. When you are ready, use Basics Of Splitting for the tool workflow and the Splitting Guidelines for the accepted standards.
Your finished file must follow the Uploading and TTML Rules. AI-generated lyric transcription and timing are forbidden. Built-in TTML Tool automation and compatible forks are allowed only when you manually check and correct their output.
Before you start
This guide uses the Community TTML Tool Fork by NaeNaeTart. Allow a few hours for a first song, or roughly 30–60 minutes once you are comfortable with accurate timing.
Recommended workflow
Work in this order: import the exact audio → import and correct lyrics → mark vocal roles → sync → add songwriters → export → test locally → submit or upload → clear the cache and verify in Spicy Lyrics.
For every available editor feature, see the TTML Tool Feature Reference.
