Submit Your First TTML

New ticket creations are closed. Upload locally instead.

This process is for people who do not yet have the TTML Maker role. Before opening a ticket, finish your TTML, test it locally against the exact song version, and confirm that it follows the Uploading and TTML Rules.

Open your application ticket

  1. Join the Spicy Lyrics Discord server.

  2. Open #create-a-ticket.

  3. Create a ticket and attach or paste your TTML with the exact song link.

  4. Wait for a Mod or Reviewer to join and review it.

Wait time for review may vary from a couple of weeks to a couple of months, be patient.

  5. Correct every blocking issue they identify and send the revised TTML in the same ticket.

You are not expected to check #ttml-uploads before applying because you may not have access to that forum. Submit your chosen song through the ticket process and follow the reviewer's instructions.

Can't find your ticket? Ticket threads are hidden from the active list after seven days of inactivity; they are not deleted. Open #create-a-ticket, then click the Threads button in the channel's top-right toolbar to find your existing ticket. Do not open another ticket solely because the original is hidden.

Review deadlines

When the clock starts

What you must do

If you miss it

A Mod or Reviewer joins your ticket

Produce an upload-ready TTML within one week.

The ticket is closed and you receive access to the #ttml-help forum, where Mods and Reviewers can continue helping you.

A Reviewer or higher identifies issues that require a corrected file

Provide the corrected TTML within three days.

The ticket is closed without granting access to #ttml-help.

The three-day correction deadline does not restart or extend the overall one-week deadline.

After either type of closure, you may open another ticket immediately. This puts the new ticket back into the queue without leaving an old ticket pending.

Approval

When the TTML satisfies the required rules, loads and renders correctly, and needs no further fixes before upload, it is upload-ready. Staff will upload it and grant you the TTML Maker role.

After receiving the role, continue with the separate Welcome, TTML Maker page for later submissions.
